Feb. 9th: NTXIA Reverse Pitch Mixer

What’s Possible When Public-Sector Challenges Meet Bold Innovation?

When public-sector challenges meet bold innovation, new pathways emerge—pathways that move ideas from concept to impact and create tangible change in the communities we serve. Across cities and regions, leaders are grappling with complex issues: infrastructure resilience, mobility, sustainability, public safety, and equitable access to services. These challenges cannot be solved in silos. They require collaboration across government, startups, industry, and the broader innovation ecosystem. That belief is at the heart of NTXIA’s first Reverse Pitch Mixer designed to bring problem-solvers and decision-makers together in a focused, action-oriented way. By creating space for honest dialogue and rapid idea exchange, this gathering aims to accelerate solutions that are not just innovative, but practical and deployable.

At the center of the event are lightning pitches—short, high-impact presentations from startups addressing real, clearly defined public-sector needs. These pitches are not about abstract concepts or future hypotheticals; they are about targeted solutions that can be piloted, scaled, and implemented. For public-sector leaders, this format offers a snapshot of what is possible today and a chance to explore new approaches without long procurement cycles or heavy upfront commitments. For startups, it is an opportunity to listen, learn, and align their technologies with real-world challenges. Each pitch helps bridge the gap between innovation and implementation, showing how creativity, technology, and partnership can translate into meaningful outcomes for cities and communities.

Beyond the pitches, the event is designed as a convening point for the broader smart cities and innovation ecosystem in North Texas. Attendees will have the opportunity to network across sectors, connect with peers facing similar challenges, and exchange insights that can spark future collaborations. Whether you are a public-sector leader seeking fresh perspectives, an innovator eager to understand government needs, or a community stakeholder invested in the future of our region, the evening offers a chance to engage in thoughtful conversation and collective problem-solving. It is also a moment to cheer on the pitchers—those willing to step forward, share their ideas, and contribute to shaping what comes next. Together, these interactions help paint a clearer picture of the “art of the possible” when diverse perspectives come together with a shared sense of purpose.

Startups and companies interested in participating are encouraged to apply to pitch and be part of this dynamic exchange. Applications are open through February 2nd, and selected startups will have the opportunity to present their solutions directly to public-sector leaders and ecosystem partners. Attendees are also invited to join the event and take part in the conversation, but space is limited, so early RSVP is strongly encouraged. The event will take place on February 9th from 4:30–7:00 PM at Pegasus Park. Whether you come to pitch, connect, or simply listen and learn, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with the future of public-sector innovation—right here in North Texas. Space is limited, please RSVP here.
